The newest in The Lakes Distillery’s The Whiskymaker’s Editions series, Equinox is inspired by the last lingering twilight between a vibrant summer and the promise of a crisp amber autumn morning. The limited-edition expression has been matured within a combination of American and European oak Oloroso sherry casks, alongside a smaller number of calvados seasoned casks, before being bottled at 46.6% abv. Free from chill filtration, and at natural colour.

The nose brings aromas of baked apple, fresh apricots, baking spices and sandalwood, with a palate of dried apple, treacle, polished oak and sweet spice. The finish is particularly long and warming, with touches of lightly spiced treacle.
